Ethiopian savings and credit cooperatives are the backbone of community finance — pooling savings, extending credit, and building wealth for members who have been underserved by formal banks for generations. Yet most of the software reaching them was built for commercial banks and MFIs, then adapted downward.
KoFinance exists to change that. We design for cooperative operations as the default — not as a concession. Members, savings, share capital, loans, committee workflows, and the particular rhythms of SACCO governance sit at the centre of the product, not the margin.
We build in Addis Ababa, for cooperatives across Ethiopia, with a team that speaks the language of SACCO work — not generic banking IT.
